Preparing for surrogacy in Kyrgyzstan

A plan in Kyrgyzstan requires applicable legal advice, clinical providers, carrier assessment and documentation, all matched to the individual family and treatment plan.

Updated 2026-10-15

Legal sources and their scope

Article 57 of the 2024 Law on Protection of Citizens’ Health addresses reproductive rights. The linked law copy includes amendments through January 2025. Before a programme starts, local counsel should establish later amendments and the family’s eligibility, including foreign applicants, contracts and birth registration.

Treatment and pregnancy care

Confirm the actual clinic, laboratory, treating doctor, embryo sources and carrier assessment records. Identify responsibility for transfer preparation, pregnancy checks, reports and emergency referral, and arrangements after cancellation, failure or delay.

Translation, birth documents and travel

Retain originals and full translations of Russian or Kyrgyz documents. Counsel and coordinators should list documents before and after birth, responsibilities and timing, while professionals at the return destination review how documents connect. List accommodation and service charges for delays separately.
