Comparing countries and treatment arrangements
When comparing overseas plans, distinguish the region attached to a donor profile, the clinic location, pregnancy and birth locations, and the family’s habitual residence. Each affects different clinical, legal and travel arrangements.

Compare the same items
For each plan list the clinic and laboratory, treatment steps, report language, contracting and payment entities, milestones, travel and included costs. Families with stored embryos, needing donated eggs or needing donated sperm require different services and schedules.
Distinguish egg donation and gestational surrogacy
A donor’s region does not establish that surrogacy can take place there. Cross-border use of gametes or embryos also involves the receiving clinic, transport, consent and documentation. Parentage and post-birth documents require assessment across the relevant jurisdictions.
Costs and changes
Compare budgets with the same service scope, currency and quotation date. Ask about additional tests, further transfers, storage, document delays and extended travel. A country label or a previous successful case does not establish total cost or feasibility for an individual family.
