Clinical care and laboratory work
Ask separately about examinations, medication, retrieval, fertilisation, culture, transfer and storage. The doctor assesses whether embryo genetic testing is appropriate; list it separately. Fresh eggs, frozen eggs, existing embryos and repeat transfers have different cost structures.
Donation and gestational carrier costs
Define what donation, examination, cycle coordination and transport charges include. Carrier arrangements should also set out pregnancy care, delivery, complications and applicable insurance or medical cost responsibilities, according to local rules and the contract.
Legal work, translation and travel
List lawyers, translation, notarisation or authentication, birth and travel documents, flights, accommodation and advisor services. Where several organisations or countries are involved, identify each payee and separately payable item.
Milestones and changes
Tie each payment to a service and contractual milestone. Explain charges, refunds or transfer arrangements for cancellation, delay, further tests, repeat treatment or delayed documents. Clarify exclusions before payment.
